Some forklifts have, in addition to the emergency stop switch, a battery switch. It may be useful to disconnect the battery of a parked vehicle if the equipment is not moved for a long time to minimize the self-discharge of the battery. In addition to simple rotary switches, there are also models with a removable key. Such switches prevent unauthorized persons from operating the forklift.
